Terms of Service

Terms governing use of GCI

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms govern the use of GCI (the 'Service') provided by Osamu Maeda (the 'Operator'). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Article 2 (Service Content)

The Service creates and provides an online cognitive profile based on original tasks. The results do not replace a formal clinical IQ assessment, medical diagnosis, disability determination, or employment decision.

Article 3 (Eligibility)

The Service is intended for users aged 8 or older. Users under 18 require guardian consent. The Operator may verify guardian consent.

Article 4 (Account)

You are responsible for managing your account credentials. The Operator is not liable for damages caused by inadequate password management or transfer of your account to a third party.

Article 5 (Fees and Payment)

The Service is currently offered as a free release. You may take the assessment at no charge based on the information displayed before use. If the Service becomes paid in the future, pricing and payment methods will be disclosed on screen and will apply only after you agree.

Article 6 (Intellectual Property)

All intellectual property rights in the Service belong to the Operator or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or sell questions, images, audio, or text from the Service without authorization.

Article 7 (Prohibited Conduct)

You may not: (1) violate laws or public order; (2) infringe rights of the Operator or third parties; (3) disrupt operation of the Service; (4) engage in unauthorized access, cracking, or reverse engineering; (5) use automated tools to take tests in ways that compromise result validity.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

To the extent permitted by law, the Operator does not guarantee the content, results, availability, completeness, or accuracy of the Service. The Operator is not responsible for score variations caused by your device, network environment, or physical condition.

Article 9 (Data Handling)

Personal information and assessment data are handled according to the separate Privacy Policy. Research consent is optional and does not affect eligibility to take tests.

Article 10 (Changes to Terms)

The Operator may revise these Terms when deemed necessary. Revised Terms take effect upon publication in the Service.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Shizuoka District Court.
